Welcome!
Tessa is an emerging artist and academic currently based in Toronto Ontario. She is originally from Thunder Bay Ontario where she has an extensive background in musical theatre performance and directing children's musical theatre. Tessa's undergraduate degree at Queen's University have lead her to various roles within theatre and music including operatic performance, costume design, composition and acting. Alongside her desire to create and perform, her research interests include theatre making with isolated populations, young people, and rurality. Tessa has recently completed her masters at The Centre, for Drama Theatre and Performance Studies, where she gained dramaturgical skills, and had opportunity to pursue her research interests in depth. Tessa has worked across Thunder Bay, Kingston, and Toronto as a singer, actor and researcher in both educational and community settings.
When she is not thinking about theatre or music, she is 100% enjoying a cortado or bee lining towards the nearest cat or dog to pet. Please look through her current projects and consult the contact page should you have further questions or would like to see a CV in more detail.
